Leeds International Study Centre entry requirements
If you don't meet the English language requirements for your International Foundation Year or International Year One, you can first join an Online English Language Preparation Programme.
If you want to study an academic programme at the Leeds International Study Centre, you will need to meet certain conditions, called entry requirements. These entry requirements are based on both, your English language skills and academic abilities.
Please contact us if your country is not listed, or you have any questions about the entry requirements listed below.
All applicants to the Leeds International Study Centre must be able to prove successful completion of a high school education. For information specifically regarding your country, please use the below tables.
You will also need to provide proof of your English language abilities. Leeds International Study Centre for progression to the University of Leeds uses IELTS scores for its application process, with most courses requiring a minimum score of 5.0. If you need to improve your English language skills before joining your course, we also offer English Language Preparation online courses. To see the language requirements for your specific course, see the tables below.
You can start your studies with a UKVI approved Secure English Language Test (SELT), provided you have met all the programme entry requirements.
The test results must have been achieved in the past 24 months and meet the minimum English equivalency score for your chosen programme.
Study Group is permitted to assess students’ suitability for entry onto programmes which are degree level and above under the registration for the UK Office for Students. You are therefore not required to have a UKVI SELT to obtain a Student Visa when you come to campus.
